Stepping Stones with Helen Dean
As both an Accredited Practising Dietitian and a qualified Counsellor, I offer a compassionate, integrative approach to supporting individuals of all ages experiencing eating disorders. What sets my practice apart is the seamless combination of nutrition expertise with therapeutic counselling—addressing not just the “what” of eating, but the “why” behind it. With a deep understanding of the complex relationship between food, mood, and behaviour, I tailor each session to meet you where you are, providing a safe space to explore challenges, build trust with your body, and move toward recovery.
I specialise in working with neurodivergent individuals, particularly those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), recognising how these unique neurotypes intersect with eating behaviours, sensory sensitivities, and emotional regulation.
Together, we’ll work toward a more peaceful relationship with food and body—one that reflects your values, your needs, and your voice.
